چکیده
In the process of comprehensive recovery and utilization discarded lithium-ion batteries via acid leaching, a large number NiS CoS mixed materials are produced. To improve metal rate, kinetics rate-determining step oxygen-rich pressurized leaching Ni Co were investigated. The results showed that rates greater than 99% under following conditions: sulfuric (leaching agent) concentration 95 g/L, liquid-to-solid ratio 6:1, time 120 min, temperature 110 °C, stirring speed 400 r/min, 90% atmosphere, pressure 1.2 MPa. was described by shrinking unreacted core model, conformed to kinetic equation 1 − (1 x)1/3 = k·t. apparent activation energies reactions 50.87 45.6 kJ/mol, respectively, found be controlled chemical reaction at interface.

Leaching Process for the Recovery of Valuable Metals from Spent Lithium- Nickel-cobalt-manganese-oxide-based Lithium-ion Batteries
This study focused on the leaching process for the recycling of Li, Ni, Co, and Mn from the LiNixCoyMnzO2 (NCM) cathodes of spent lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). Eh–pH diagrams were used to analyze suitable leaching conditions. Operating variables, such as the concentration of H2SO4 (0.5–2.5 M), concentration of H2O2 (0–1 vol%), temperature (10–50 °C), stirring speed (400–800 rpm), and solid/liqu...
متن کاملRecovery of cobalt sulfate from spent lithium ion batteries by reductive leaching and solvent extraction with Cyanex-272
Cobalt sulfate was recovered from crushed and screened prismatic type spent lithium ion batteries (LIBs) containing 5~20 % Co, 5~7 % Li, 5~10 % Ni, 15% organic chemicals, and 7% plastics together with Cu, Al, Fe, and Mn. Cobalt was reductively leached from the -16 mesh fraction in 1 h by stirring with 2 M H2SO4 and 6 vol% H2O2, at 60 C and 300 rpm using a solid/liquid ratio of 100 g/L to give a...
متن کاملRecovery of cobalt and lithium from spent lithium ion batteries using organic citric acid as leachant.
In this work, a hydrometallurgical process based on leaching is applied to recover cobalt and lithium from spent lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Citric acid and hydrogen peroxide are introduced as leaching reagents and the leaching of cobalt and lithium with a solution containing C(6)H(8)O(7) x H(2)O is investigated. When both C(6)H(8)O(7) x H(2)O and H(2)O(2) are used an effective recovery of Li...
متن کاملExtraction of Ni and Co via D2EHPA in the Presence of Acetate Ion
The effect of acetate ion introduced to aqueous solutions was investigated for the extraction/separation of Ni and Co from a dilute sulfate media. The separation of Co and Ni was improved by introducing acetate to aqueous media. By the use of the slope analysis method, the stoichiometric coefficient of the extractant was found to be 4 for cobalt and 3.5 or 4 for nickel depending on the aceta...
متن کاملTransparent lithium-ion batteries.
Transparent devices have recently attracted substantial attention. Various applications have been demonstrated, including displays, touch screens, and solar cells; however, transparent batteries, a key component in fully integrated transparent devices, have not yet been reported. As battery electrode materials are not transparent and have to be thick enough to store energy, the traditional appr...
